Kiss Me Again - We Are The In Crowd ft. Alex Gaskarth

So a band quite close to my heart released the music video to their most recent single called 'Kiss Me Again' featuring the lead locals from All Time low, Alex Gaskarth. The video begins around a campfire on the beach, it follows lead vocals Tay Jardine and Alex Gaskarth through their undiscovered love along with members of We Are The In Crowd with extras.
The video is well planned out, leaving you in suspense throughout whether Tay and Alex will kiss and get together or just ignore it, along with scenes of them both singing this video has lived up to its recent hype. To watch the video you can access MTV or click the link here. Here's some screen shots while you wait for the video to load.

A Day In The Life..

Katy
Besides my reviews I though I would let you all into the little exciting snippets of my life, whether its going on holiday or just taking some photos out with my mates. So last weekend I was invited to a BBQ/party for my friends birthday, the weather was wonderful which made the day a whole lot better than it originally was. I took my friend, Katy along with me as my +1. I hope to have Katy featured more on my blog in the future as her unique style and approach to things in general is quite interesting.
I wore my HOM shirt to the BBQ with a pearl studded black bodycon skirt from the Topshop sale, I don't have a suitable photo to show you, but it's pretty much what I just explained. There are some key pieces that I had bought that day and was given as a present for christmas which I brought along with me, to get my use out of them.
The pieces I have photos of are, a faux fur pony skin clutch bag with a sale ring from Topman that I bought that day. Both I would consider to be in fashion but could also pass as any season items.

£4 Topman Ring (M)
£70 Topshop Clutch Bag
I met a few new people who were friends with the host, but a couple of my own friends had also tagged along, all together there was a nice little group of people which avoided any awkward lack of conversations. Overall the day/night was very enjoyable, and worth getting dolled up for. I'll leave below some photo's I took with Katy.

Conch Piercing

So yesterday I went into town with my friend Katy and decided to get my conch pierced, it's located in the ear and is classed as a cartilage piercing. When you get the piercing done, a thick silver bar is used instead of the ring from the photo (right). This helps the hole to heal more quick and stops the piercing itself getting caught on hair, clothes etc as it is very tender for a few days.

Various Ear Piercings
I went to a tattoo and piercing store that has been in my hometown since my mum was a teenager, many of my friends have gone here also as it has been known to do piercing quick with no fuss, for a reasonable price. On the subject of money, it cost me £15 for the one piercing, it varies between different establishments. When I had my tragus pierced (3 months ago) it cost £20 but was at a more local store.

I took a photo hours after I'd had it done, as you can see my ear hadn't swollen up and it hadn't become itchy either which shows that real silver is used (I'm allergic to cheap metals). The only unattractive thing was the dried blood, which was only a small amount will come off after bathing. The guy that did my piercing went through every step of the piercing to make sure I knew what I was putting my body through and to make sure I wanted to go through with it.

Conch Piercing
After it was done, he cleaned it with antibacterial spray and made sure it moves around slightly also handing me two skin cleansing swabs called 'reliject'. These were to be used when I got home and in the morning the day after, from then on a solution of salt water on a cotton bud wiped around the area is recommend. For obvious reasons, sleeping on the side of the piercing is not advised until after a week just to help the healing process.

On the pain barrier, I have a slight resistance to pain via piercings but again everybody is different on these things. Personally I would say it didn't hurt as much as my tragus, as that had to be clamped down then pierced, but then again that didn't hurt much either. If I had to give a rating from 1 - 10, it would probably be a 2, it only lasts a minute or so and it's worth it in the end. I'll keep you up to date with any developments regarding my recent piercing and if I get anymore.

17 Miracle Matte Foundation Review

Full View
The long awaited foundation review has finally surfaced, I apologize for the absence of this review as I've been tied down with a lot of work recently. I hardly every buy liquid foundations, with my greasy skin I've always felt they just lay on top creating another layer. Trying numerous varieties of "matte" foundations I've been disappointed repeatedly, yet I think I have found something revolutionary.
Previous to buying this product, I had purchased 'Peep Show' mascara by 17. Never using any of their make up in the past I was cautious to break outs or a general dislike to the brand, but I'd like to think experimenting with another brand was a great option. 'Miracle Matte Foundation' claim to leave a matte, satin and flawless finish alongside having and oil free base with SPF 15 protection.
Close Up
I have an olive complexion with red under tones, this causes some makeup to ware off after a short period of time as the red tones become more prominent to the colour of foundation. Purchasing the shade 'natural' was a very wise choice and extremely close (slightly more tanned) to my natural colour.
Applying generous dots on my cheeks, upper lip and t-zone I am able to give a light to medium coverage for a day out. However the wonder of this foundation is that it can be layered to create a medium to full coverage for those nights out on the town, without wearing off after a few hours.
I would highly recommend this foundation to anybody that is vary of testing over brands due to greasy or spot-prone skin. With no defined skin type mentioned on the bottle I would say this could be used for those with a normal skin type to greasy, I am unsure at the moment whether this would dry out peoples skin more if they do have dry skin but the risk would be possibly worth it, priced at £5.99 I think this purchase is worth its money and I'm desperate to stock up on this wonderful product!
Hope you enjoy reading my review, please comment below with your own opinions of this foundation and if this review has helped you out

Loose Tapestries Presents The Luxury Comedy Tapes

Loose Tapestries Artwork
After the success of his new sitcom show (luxury comedy), Noel Fielding alongside bass player and lyrical writer of Kasabian, Serge Pizzorno have teamed up to create their own band project. Known and the 'Loose Tapestries' the band so far have been shown as a medieval throw back with the modern twists of technology. Whether this side project will create their own music that doesn't feature in Luxury Comedy in unknown as of now. But on that note the music that is used in Fielding's show is very odd ball.
Using old synthesizers the create futuristic tones, with Fielding's voice manipulated both high and low reading out obscure lyrics it is something to get your head around. Snippets of certain characters scenes are also included among the variety of songs, some of these characters are Secret Pete, Fantasy Man, Ghost of a Flea and many others.

In a vary of interviews regarding the newly formed band, both men have discussed doing a tour in the near future suggesting them to be hosted in castles across the UK (which we take lightly). Prior to this Fielding was involved in another side band supporting his other show The Mighty Boosh, all of the main characters that featured in this BBC Three hit are now a part of the Luxury Comedy family, except Fielding's on screen partner Julian Barratt. Over some queries fans have brought up regarding the absence of his partner, Fielding has explained the outlandishness and complexity of the show is something that doesn't appeal to Barratt.
But don't sit there in doubt, another reason for the choice of not including Barratt is to not tarnish what The Mighty Boosh created with its fans and the on screen relationship that grew between both of them.

This wonderful album includes 22 songs which are all under 3 minutes below, with only two sliding over this barrier by 12 seconds. All the songs have had featured specially in individual episodes being able to bring another leap and spring into the already outrageous series. This by far is an enjoyable album for those who are a fan of Fielding's work and hopefully they will drop us another album as soon as possible.

The Woman In Black

This weekend I went watching 'The Woman In Black' with a friend and her family, from friends who have watched the film I had very high expectations for this film even though its certificate was only a 12A. I am very partial to watching frightening films and so was my friend, and doesn't this film stand to the mark.
The beginning 20 minutes go into a lot of detail regarding the main character Arthur (played by Daniel Radcliffe) and his life with his 4 year old son. He then goes on to visit an abandoned house which is the main location throughout the film alongside a little village.
There are a lot of suspended scenes based around the house location, it does not disappoint in that factor. If one thing appears or shocks you this would be continued for a good 5 minutes, leaving you hiding behind your hands just hoping for it to be over with. The story line is very strong and the ending is quite good.
Originally 'The Woman In Black' was performed on the theater around 15 years ago, seeing both versions compared to the effects that are available now the theater version does not live up to the cinema remotely.
I would highly recommend going watching this before it goes on DVD, it is a good watch that can make you jump out of your skin every 10 minutes.

HOM Shirt

I purchased this shirt a few weeks ago off Ebay, the maker is HOM. Now I've been looking into the designer to hopefully find a website, so I can purchase more of the clothing but sadly it must of gone out of business.  The only things I can find however are some very weird men's underwear, which for obvious reasons isn't to my taste. The shirt is black and white with polka dots and striped sections and is made out of cotton, the collar is quite flimsy but still quite sturdy to hide the chain of necklaces.

The shirt itself is quite thin with very baggy sleeves, leaving it to not have a determined season to wear this. Layered up with a blazer or left on its own this is a versatile and a very statement piece. I plan on wearing this throughout summer, tucked into shorts, left to hang over leggings or tied to show some mid-drift. If you can pick up an item by HOM I recommend it dearly, for good quality vintage clothing this brand is the way forward!
